Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the myTransit launch website at mytransit.com.au and the launch email list. They’re short on purpose. By using the site or joining the list, you agree to them.

What this site is

This is a launch page for the upcoming myTransit iOS app. The app does not yet exist in the App Store. Anything you see on the site that looks like the app — countdowns, disruption cards, occupancy indicators — is illustrative and does not reflect real-time conditions on the network.

The launch list

Joining the list means we’ll send occasional emails about myTransit’s progress and a notification when the app launches. We’ll honour any unsubscribe request promptly and there is an unsubscribe link in every email. We won’t use your email for anything else and we won’t share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Transit data

Where we reference live Sydney transit data, the underlying source is Transport for NSW Open Data and is used under the CC BY 4.0 licence. myTransit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Transport for NSW, Sydney Trains, Sydney Metro, or Opal.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to spam the signup form or scrape the site.
  • Attempt to access systems or data you don’t have permission to access.
  • Impersonate someone else when signing up. If you sign up an email you don’t control, the owner of that email can ask us to remove it.

Security researchers acting in good faith are welcome and should follow the contact in /.well-known/security.txt.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. We try hard to keep it accurate and available but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Nothing on this site is travel advice — always check Transport for NSW for authoritative information before you travel.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, myTransit is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or the launch list. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Changes & discontinuation

We may update the site, change these terms, or wind the project down. If we make material changes to these terms we’ll update the date above. If we discontinue the project, we’ll email subscribers and delete the launch list within 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction.
